The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has made Food and Nutrition data publicly available through the Texas Open Data Portal.
Summer meal program data is provided at the site level and is available by program year.
Summer meal programs include:
- Seamless Summer Option (SSO)
- Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)

2023 All Summer Sites Program Sponsor List
Use the table to the left to find current CE contact information for approved Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO) participants. Use the Filter icon to list CEs with characteristics of interest. Use the Export Data icon to download your Filtered Data as an Excel-compatible file (csv).
This lists pulls from the most recent All Summer Sites Contacts and Participation dataset on the Texas Open Data Portal. Only CEs who have not terminated participation (CE Termination Status is blank) are displayed. The complete dataset with site-level data can be found by selecting the current program year All Summer Sites Contacts dataset from the dataset list below.
The counts above are estimates based on the sponsor's Operation Start Date being today or later.
CEs and sites whose CE Operation Start Date has not arrived are not included even if they have been approved to operate for summer. Operation Start Date for SSO sponsors reflect the start of their 2022-2023 school year and not their summer operations. Approved SFSP sponsors will be included in this count when their Operation Start Date arrives. Please refer to the All Summer Sites Sponsor List for the most accurate count of CEs and sites approved for the program period.

Available Datasets for Summer Meal Programs (SFSP & SSO)
In March 2020, USDA began allowing flexibility in nutrition assistance program policies to support continued meal access during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
